Arrival to Madrid Barajas airport. Assistance on arrival and transfer to your hotel. Overnight. Free time at leisure.
DAY 2 (Thursday) – MADRID
Breakfast and overnight. In the morning panoramic city tour where you will see Spain Square, the University Complex, the West Park , Casa de Campo, the Morish Quarters, Orient Square, Main Square, The Sun Gate , Neptune, Atocha, Alcala Gate, the Senorial Retiro Park, the Ventas Bull Ring, Columbus Square, Castellana Avenue, the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, Cibeles Square and the Gran Via Avenue. Afternoon at leisure to explore Madrid or attend an excursion in the outskirts of Madrid to Toledo, El Escorial.
DAY 3 (Friday) – MADRID – AVILA – SALAMANCA
Breakfast. Departure for Ávila, World Heritage Site and birthplace of Santa Teresa de Jesus. His great Roman wall surrounding the city and keeps much of its monumental treasures. Free time to enjoy this jewel of the Middle Ages. Then exit to Salamanca, a university city par excellence, known worldwide for it and for its artistic richness: cathedrals, palaces, churches of various styles. In the afternoon you will make the city tour including the Plaza Mayor, Casa de las Conchas, the New Cathedral, the Old Cathedral and University. At night you can enjoy the lively atmosphere of this city. Accommodation.
DAY 4 (Saturday) SALAMANCA – CIUDAD RODRIGO - COIMBRA - FATIMA
Breakfast. Departure to Ciudad Rodrigo, short tour at this beautiful medieval town declared as a Historic-Artistic heritiage complex, where its walls surrounds a rich heritage of civil and religious buildings headed by its cathedral and castle. Proceeded to the Portuguese border, to continue via Guarda to Coimbra, site of one of the oldest universities in Europe and the ex capital of Portugal, with its narrow streets, houses, palaces, chapels and churches that make this city a pleasure to see. Continue to Fatima, one of the most important relgious shrines in the world after the six apparitions of the Virgin Mary to three shepherds near the Iria cave. Overninght.
DAY 5 (Sunday) FATIMA - OBIDOS - LISBON
Breakfast and departure to the beautiful medieval town of Obidos, with its nice little streched streets and picturesque red-roofed white houses, sheltered by the impressive city walls. The next stop is at Lisbon, the capital of Portugal located at the Tagus River. Overnight.
DAY 6 (Monday) – LISBON
Breakfast and overnight, In the morning included a panoramic city tour of LISBOA, passing through the Alfama district, birthplace of St. Anthonyand once the old Moorish Quarters, the Belem Tower symbol of LISBOA and the Jeronimous Monastery. Afternoon at leisure. Possibility of an optional tour to see the 3 most visited towns on the outskirts of LISBOA, Sintra world Heritage Town, Cascais and Estoril.
DAY 7 (Tuesday) – LISBON – CÁCERES - SEVILLA
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure towards the Spanish border to arrive to the World Heritage city of Caceres, with uncalculatable historic buildings dating back from the 14th and 16th century. The old quarters is one of the 3 best conserved medieval quarters in Europe. Tour on foot to see the Plaza Mayor and the old medival district. After your tour continue to Sevilla. Overnight.
DAY 8 (Wednesday) – SEVILLE
Breakfast and overnight. Morning panoramic and monumental city tour, where you will come in contact with this magnificent city, driving through Maria Luisas Park, The University, Americas Square and The Pavillions built in 1929 for the Iberoamerican Fair. Following the panoramic tour you will continue on foot from the Murillo Gardens towards the old “Santa Cruz” quarters. Brief stop. You will then proceed to the Cathedral (entrance included) where you will also see the symbol of Seville, The Giralda Tower once the minaret of the Mosque and today the belfry of the Cathedral. Afternoon at leisure where you can attend an optional artistic tour. In the late afternoon, possibility of attending the finest Flamenco Show in Spain.
DAY 9 (Thursday) – SEVILLE – RONDA – COSTA DEL SOL
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Ronda, passing through the Route of the Andalusian White Villages in order for you to arrive to Ronda. Ronda is one of the oldest cities in Spain, whose origins date back to the Neolithic Period. Free time to explore the main sites of Ronda, from the Tajo Gorge to enjoy an unforgetable view of the city to the oldest bullring in Spain, considered the symbol and soul of Ronda. In the afternoon departure to the international beachside resort La Costa del Sol. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 10 (Friday) – COSTA DEL SOL – GRANADA
Breakfast at the hotel. Free time till midmorning to then proceed to Granada which is located on the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. Tour of the most visited monument in Spain declared World Heritage,The Alhambra where you will be seeing the Nazarite Palaces and the Generalife Gardens (entrance included). Overnight.
DAY 11 (Saturday) – GRANADA – TOLEDO – MADRID
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Toledo. Tour of this monumental city declared World Heritage. On arrival panoramic drive around Toledo and then proceed on foot to visit the historical old town. You will enter the Catheral (entrance included), Santo Tome which in its interior holds one of the masterpieces of El Greco, “The burial of the count of Orgaz” (entrance included) and finally you will proceed towards the former Jewish Quarters to see the synagogue of St. Maria La Blanca. Afternoon departure to Madrid. Overnight.
